Sarge von Sassnitz is a very handsome 4-to-5-year-old German Shepherd.  This soulful boy with the beautiful classic coat is looking for a home in which he is so appreciated that he will be all the dog anyone ever wants. He is exactly that, too!  Sarge is already housebroken and crate-trained. He is sensitive and smart, and knows his basic commands like sit, up, down, let go and come. With a gentle approach and kind words, he warms up to people, enjoys affection, and will greet a familiar friend with a wag and even a little kiss on the hand. With those he knows, Sarge’s enormous heart is always on display. Because he is so dedicated and loyal, he should have thoughtful introductions to new people. Believe it or not, Sarge is timid around other dogs and would love a calm home where he is the only household pet -- a place where, with love and reassurance, he will gain confidence and be a devoted companion.
